No other printing process says elegance better than engraved stationary. Engraving is carried out by first cutting a design into a hard surface, typically a copper plate. The plate is then inked and the ink is removed from all but the engraved grooves. Paper is placed on the plate and heavy pressure is applied. The result is stationary with a raised inked design. This process is used for United States currency, and contributes to making notes difficult to counterfeit. Custom engraved stationary is used for wedding invitations and business cards. A less expensive process that gives similar raised printed surface is thermographic printing. Please contact us if you would like us to custom design engraved stationary for you.
